Rocky Mountain National Park
Located just 3 miles west of Estes
Park is the land area known as the Rocky Mountain National
Park. Made up of valleys at 8,000 feet in elevation and
114 peaks reaching over 10,000 feet, this park was once
described as “America’s finest composition for a painter”.
The Rocky Mountain National Park boasts 415 square miles of peaks, mountain meadows, canyons, lakes and streams. Its forest and meadows have over 750 species of flora, and over 260 species of birds and many indigenous mammals. You will see 14,255 ft. Long’s Peak, one of the state’s many 14ers (peaks reaching over 14,000 feet). There are also 5 campgrounds available from May to September.
